Our Infection Control & Sterilization System
At Ankura Dental Clinic, safety of our patients is our primary concern. Your dental health continues to be one of our priorities. An infection control department has been installed at all our centers headed by a dentist with expertise in sterilization and infection control to ensure our patients the highest level of sterilization according to international standards.
Ankura Dental Clinics are now using autoclaving machines which are a dental sterilizer that processes instruments faster and more effectively than ever before. In autoclaving, instruments (which are first cleaned, dried, and placed in a special steam-penetrable wrap), are subjected to pressurized steam for 15 to 20 minutes. All instruments are autoclaved in special sealed sterilization pouches, and opened just prior to treatment.
The water used in our dental lines is distilled water. These lines are routinely checked by our Technical experts and a report of it is duly signed and submitted to the Head Quality Control Committee on a routine basis.
Digital X-ray:
Modern technology has changed the way we take dental x-rays at Ankura Dental clinic. Advanced Digital radiology technology allows us to use computerized sensors rather than film to capture images of your teeth in order to reduce the amount of radiation exposed.
The Intraoral Camera
The intraoral camera is an excellent visual tool that allows the patient to see exactly what the dentist sees in their mouths. They say a picture is worth a thousand words and this revolutionary diagnostic dental instrument eliminates any confusion between doctor and patient when communicating treatment options. Capturing images with the intraoral camera is painless and there is no radiation exposure risk as visible light is used to generate the photographs.
Smile Analysis (Mock-up)
Your Smile Analysis begins with an examination and a personal consultation with your dentist. Your dentist will evaluate the health and appearance of your teeth and gums to ensure that more pressing concerns such as decay or infection are not present. Then, your lip line, facial shape, jaw angle and eye symmetry are examined, photographs are taken and three dimensional plaster study models are fabricated
Using information you provide your dentist as to your desired cosmetic outcome, combined with scientific guidelines as to what constitutes ideal tooth shape, color and size, we will create a model of the proposed alterations to your smile in order for you to visualize the final outcome. This smile “mock up” is the starting point for a discussion with your dentist as to the specific treatment alternatives you have to get that ideal looking smile.

Community Welfare Programmes
The Community Welfare program is our way of giving back to our community. For 2016, we are set to visit a total of 25 residential communities and schools to spread messages of oral health.
The initiative has two main objectives – to evaluate the current oral health of the community, and to emphasize the importance of a balanced diet, oral hygiene and regular dental check-ups.
Our Community welfare Team visits various apartments and schools and conducts an oral screening programme. We prepare carefully designed community education tools such as presentations, songs, games and tooth brushing workshops addressing both adults and children of varying ages. We also organize student field trips to our Head centre located at Kukatpally.
Our School health programme Coordinator conducts free dental screening onsite to assess each and every student, and offers necessary advice and recommendations to the children’s parents and caregivers.
